Pattern Drafting for Bespoke Menswear - the Metric System
In order to be more inclusive we have decided to release two video series, one in metric units and the other in imperial. Since we are aware many third level students in the EU and British Isles use the metric system, we have converted the book into that unit of measure and made it available as a stand alone work.
Rory’s system is based on the age old “half breast system” aka “half chest system”. It is a system which uses a scale based on one half of the chest measurement to find other measurements that cannot be measured directly. It also incorporates head units as mentioned above as well as a few direct measurements. Rather than swearing by one system, Rory has taken the best of what is available and brought it together to deliver the following book and video series.
